Erica is one of the most interesting, self-motivated designers I’ve met in a long time. Her concept for fun, witty socks is so fun and a little bit nuts. Stainless Steel Gets a New Look
I’d love to have a whole category in this blog dedicated to jewelry designers. I see some really hot looks…almost too many. It isn’t always easy to pick out the very best finds. But at the recent Unique L.A. event in Hollywood, I was captivated by this designer’s use of stainless steel. Put these on your Holiday List: Kauzbots!
At the recent Unique L.A. event, I shared with you some of my favorite new finds. One of those was this super cute kids’ toy, each with a special story. Kauzbots are robots “with a heart”. Each robot gives 10% back to their cause (or kauz). The variety of colors is no accident. Each one is affiliated with a specific cause that is national or international in scope and goes above and beyond financial donations to also offer on-the-ground efforts to help people. Spent the Day at Unique LA
It was hot, a little humid, and parking was a BI$!% but it was worth it! If you missed it today, I am here to bring you what we thought were the best of the bunch. I met some amazing designers… all of which (hopefully) you’ll see soon including:
Kauzbots: It is all about robots these days. The Jetson-age is back! These stuffed robot toys come in different colors. Each color indicates a different cause (or “kauz”). It’s Back! Unique L.A.
If you missed the Downtown show earlier this spring, you missed out! Hundreds of new designers met together to give shoppers an opportunity to find their new favorites. But, not to worry. Unique LA is back for a smaller show (but sure to be just as “unique”). If you are in the L.A. area, carve out some time in your weekend and let us know what you find. Here are the details:

Weekend shopping (and inspiration)
Last weekend we saw Unique L.A. bring hard-to-find fabulous brands to one location. From paper, to pillows to purses and pens! Anything and everything could be found from over 275 exhibitors of handmade goods designed and created right her in the U.S. I assumed that all of these exhibitors would be from L.A., but they definitely were not. Designers from all over the country helped make this show amazing. Get on the list and do not miss it again!
