Seattle’s First Fashion Week

Coming in Spring 2010 Seattle, WA will welcome a new annual event to the Puget Sound…Electric City Fashion Week brought to you by Stigmaré Couture Marketing. Planning for this major event is already in full swing! We were asked to help spread the news. So here are the details:
Designer applications are currently being accepted until November 14th. So make sure to apply even if you think you might be interested. The application is simple and the application fee is only $55. Lizzie Parker is a Seattle Favorite

We sincerely enjoyed seeing Lizzie Parker’s new collection recently at Portland Fashion Week. Her designs are high-class and exceptionally made…not to mention, she is super sweet and so fun to talk to. Unlike the other designers that week, Lizzie revealed her “Holiday 2009″ collection instead of Spring ‘10. We were curious why…so we asked her.
We learned that although Lizzie’s designs used to be available for wholesale, she made a calculated business decision that changed her focus. Upon recently opening her own store in downtown Seattle, she moved her studio to the back of the store and focuses her designs on serving the Seattle clientele. [...]

We love twitter! I’ve said this before, but we’ve really meet some amazing people in out twitter network. This award-winning emerging designer is no exception to the talent that we’ve found out there. Jesica Milton comes to us from her studio in Seattle with a fall collection that recently won her Seattle Magazine’s prestigious award for Best Emerging Designer. I admit, I’m crazy for Twitter, facebook, evite and all the techie stuff. But when was the last time a friend sent a card in the mail? Weekend shopping (and inspiration)

Last weekend we saw Unique L.A. bring hard-to-find fabulous brands to one location. From paper, to pillows to purses and pens! Anything and everything could be found from over 275 exhibitors of handmade goods designed and created right her in the U.S. I assumed that all of these exhibitors would be from L.A., but they definitely were not. Designers from all over the country helped make this show amazing. Get on the list and do not miss it again!
