Put these on your Holiday List: Kauzbots!
At the recent Unique L.A. event, I shared with you some of my favorite new finds. One of those was this super cute kids’ toy, each with a special story. Kauzbots are robots “with a heart”. Each robot gives 10% back to their cause (or kauz). The variety of colors is no accident. Each one is affiliated with a specific cause that is national or international in scope and goes above and beyond financial donations to also offer on-the-ground efforts to help people. Retro Fifties Flair with Lynnda Rakos
I had a great time yesterday with Lynnda Rakos, an L.A. painter, crafter, designer of clothing, furniture and even toilet seats! When I pulled up to her house I knew I was in the right place. A large window in the front of the house displays a beautiful painted horse that looks like it just jumped off the carousel. And when she let me in, I was greeted by a cheerful collection of color, color, color! Her space age cartoon-like characters and drawings made me feel six-years old again.
