Gen Art Shows off Fresh Faces in Chicago Fashion

The bars, clubs and restaurants were shockingly scant of crowds this past Saturday evening. That probably was because all of Chicago was crammed into the fashion tent that was about to showcase the final runway to strut Millennium Park during this year’s Fashion Focus Chicago.

It’s Back! Unique L.A.
If you missed the Downtown show earlier this spring, you missed out! Hundreds of new designers met together to give shoppers an opportunity to find their new favorites. But, not to worry. FIDM Debut 2009 Runway Show- New Designers to Watch
I love perusing L.A.’s fashion district. The creative energy is buzzing and I always find fabulous surprises. In L.A., FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) is the mecca of fashion design. LDB has followed some of these emerging designers and we love finding new gems here everyday.

I have to introduce you to one of my new favorite designer blogs. Allison O’Grady recently began Aspiring Couture when she felt that her strong interest in business and fashion could be paired together to help new designers get inspired to design with resources, tools and shared experiences.
