On a chilly Wednesday night in the Chicago winter wonderland, we took our bundled selves into the stylish Grand Ballroom of the Sofitel Water Tower Chicago to celebrate the start of a big new year with StyleChicago.
StyleChicago’s Resolutions 2010 event was a fantastic way to usher in the New Year! Ximena Valero put on an amazing show last night at Fashion Business Inc. in the California Market Center! Her looks seemed inspired by the city of L.A. with bold colors, light fabrics and flowing “care-free” designs. Stacy Elder Herb (Little Designer Book’s newest contributor) joined me for a night of mingling with interesting designers, photographers, celebrity stylists, press, educators, and financiers. We had a great time with Anyes Galleani, Ken Wengrod, designer Andru Wallace and FBI’s Frances Harder.

Unique LA- Clothing by Christine Haynes

Last weekend we saw Unique L.A. bring hard-to-find fabulous brands to one location. From paper, to pillows to purses and pens! Anything and everything could be found from over 275 exhibitors of handmade goods designed and created right her in the U.S. I assumed that all of these exhibitors would be from L.A., but they definitely were not. Designers from all over the country helped make this show amazing. Get on the list and do not miss it again!
