So far we’ve had two great nights in Portland. Last night featured designs from Suzabelle, Janeane Marie, Sweet Skins, gowns by Angelia Sasmita even a few of the students from The Art Institute of Portland showed off their stuff.

We especially loved this cuffed trouser look from student Emily Kathryn Carol. The suspenders and gloves were a risk…which we appreciated!

Designer Suzanne Jaberg’s line Suzabelle was a fan favorite last night. As many designers we’ve seen so far this season, she stuck to the basics for spring. With buyers tightening their belts and pocketbooks, this is a prudent move. (although a little boring)

We saw splashes of pink and turquoise paired with basic black and cream. Simple, wearable looks that will translate well into next year, too.

And…we absolutely can’t wait for tonight! In a few hours, we’ll see Amai Unmei, Idom, La Vie by Michelle DeCourcy, Wyatt Orr and Jesica Milton.

One of the most anticipated nights of Portland Fashion Week, we expect that tonight we’ll see true up-and-coming artists unveil their talent on the runway in very expectedly unexpected ways. (did you get that?)

More to come…
