LDB had the great honor of sitting down with Frances Harder, founder of Fashion Business Inc. I was excited to learn how FBI and LDB could work together to offer resources and support to new designers. The FBI office is located in the California Market Center (California Mart). Gimme Some Candy!…Cotton Candy

I am loving twitter! Design inspiration and amazing designers…galore! Many of whom I probably would never know about. Such is the case with this fun, fabulous line of kids’ clothing. Lauren was a stay-at-home mom with a need for a tutu for her daughter’s birthday party. And, from there….Cotton Candy Shop was born.

This blog is a labor of love for me. I am a designer, myself. But I know that a great idea and a beautiful design doesn’t necessarily mean anything if the right person doesn’t see it. In fact, I would spend so much time spilling over my creations in my own living room that I would forget all about a marketing plan. For the last several years I’ve met some amazingly creative women. They have beautiful designs, but don’t have the time or money to reach the stores that would certainly love their ideas. In my book, they are designers. [...]
