I’d love to have a whole category in this blog dedicated to jewelry designers. I see some really hot looks…almost too many. It isn’t always easy to pick out the very best finds. But at the recent Unique L.A. event in Hollywood, I was captivated by this designer’s use of stainless steel. nJoy Designs Bring out the “Fun” in Function!
Don’t you love handbags?! Especially labels that are fun, different and attract attention. It’s a small obsession with me. So I had to share this find with you. I first found Amy Phelps, the designer behind nJoy Designs on twitter and right away I wanted to know more. It’s “Not Just Any Old Day” by Michele
My family has a beautiful silver serving set passed down by my grandmother’s family. (get this! My grandmother’s maiden name was Silver and her brother’s name was Sterling…no joke!) Somehow my parents ended up with this set and it will be a small contest to see who gets to keep Sterling Silver’s sterling silver in the family. So when I met Michele, I could appreciate her sentimental ideals which led her to create a new heirloom item (made from real sterling silver) for the very special days in your life.

I recently found a designer of handmade accessories with unique, urban flavor. Talk about a shopping experience! Tawny, the founder of Quiet Doing just exudes artistic juiciness (oooh, I like that). She was a pleasure to talk to and I was only severely disappointed that I didn’t come prepared with more cash on me, because I saw at least three pieces that I just HAD to have.
