Stainless Steel Gets a New Look

I’d love to have a whole category in this blog dedicated to jewelry designers. I see some really hot looks…almost too many. It isn’t always easy to pick out the very best finds. But at the recent Unique L.A. event in Hollywood, I was captivated by this designer’s use of stainless steel. Wendy Hacker-Moss is the design mind behind WHM Jewelry and each of these little flowers made from mesh of the resilient metal.

I want to introduce all of you to a great friend of mine, and a very talented artist. Tori and I were roomies in college and as an Art major, I knew she had a special eye for chic designs. So it was no surprise to me that she went on to use her illustrations to create beautiful stationery pieces that have been featured in publications like O Magazine, Life & Style, Country Home and many others. Put these on your Holiday List: Kauzbots!

At the recent Unique L.A. event, I shared with you some of my favorite new finds. One of those was this super cute kids’ toy, each with a special story. Kauzbots are robots “with a heart”. Each robot gives 10% back to their cause (or kauz). The variety of colors is no accident. Each one is affiliated with a specific cause that is national or international in scope and goes above and beyond financial donations to also offer on-the-ground efforts to help people. We love twitter! I’ve said this before, but we’ve really meet some amazing people in out twitter network. This award-winning emerging designer is no exception to the talent that we’ve found out there.
