For the last 9 months, LDB has been bringing you new talent in fashion and design, photography and publication. This weekend, as I reflect on all we have to be thankful for, I’m overwhelmed by the talent that helps make this site successful. In the spirit of thankfulness, I thought I would list out those people and resources we can’t live without:
Here are my top 10!
10) Ms. Blackberry!! Love her.
9) Fashion friends who really know what they are talking about. I love these people because they inspire, encourage and challenge me everyday! Rachel Yeomans (writer), Stacy Herb (stylist), Suzette Troche [...]
ALEXANDRA!
She says, “Best present? My first Francesco Biasia bag…phenomenal. That said, it could be the worst present ever as it started a handbag addiction…”
I can relate to that! And…she’ll be one happy addict sporting this new fabulous bag by Beso Handbags. I have a feeling she won’t be giving this one away! Alexandra, email me at andrea.pohlot@littledesignerbook.com with your address and we’ll make sure to get you your prize!
A huge thank you to EVERYONE who entered. The best news is that we’ll have a new giveaway in the morning!! Stop by around 10am to see what we have coming [...]

Matt Haines of OneThousandUmbrellas.com is one of our favorite fashion photographers to in L.A. His family and lifestyle photos are award-winning! And now he has brought his strong talent to fashion. Click here for our original post about Matt! So, I knew I could call on Matt to help us get great shots at the recent Delise’ Anna Fashion show in Hollywood. Below is the post by Matt with his take on the show…

Last night I attended the Delise’ Ana show at Boulevard3 club in Hollywood. A smokin’ club! I’ve never been there before, and it was really [...]

If you’re a mom and you’ve never heard of OOTS!, you must consider these designs for your little ones this holiday season. Talk about style meets fun, meets function. I’ve said before that I have a huge appreciate for style that also serves a purpose, especially in home decor. In fact, take a look at a previous post on the same topic. So, when I recently came across OOTS! online, we caught up with the design team to find out the full story. We submitted our questions to Dutch designer, Arian Roefs who gave us some background into their process [...]

I’ll admit I’ve never really put to much effort into thinking about Winter Coats. Never really needed them in Arizona.
Thankfully (because I actually love coats) I just relocated to cold climates (actually still in the process of getting settled), so now I definitely need a Winter Coat. Here’s what I have found:
Military Style Jackets/Coats
I’ll be honest; this style isn’t really first on my list. I want a coat that feels feminine, not so masculine. But much to my delight and surprise – you can now have both in a [...]
Meet Elizabeth! Maybe a little shy, but loves color, allowing her to let her real side show through. You can see it when you look at her gorgeous jewelry designs. She is the goofy girl who still has those fun-colored notebooks, her cell phone case is hot pink and her nails are always painted in vibrant colors. She loves to keep her hair red. She just can’t seem to get enough of color! You’ll see this in her jewelry line, too. Great fun little pieces that jump with color!
An Arizona native, Elizabeth moved around as a child. She has since [...]

LAST DAY TO ENTER TO WIN!!!
We are pleased to bring back a favorite designer for our first Holiday Countdown Giveaway Event! This event is about making your holiday shopping easy. We not only search through hundreds of designers to find the best gems, we are also giving them away each week!
WEEK ONE opens with Beso Handbags designed by Johanna Penagos out of California. We love Johanna, because her handbags are feminine and yet very practical. Casual and fashionable. And we love her even more because she is GIVING AWAY Grace, a very popular piece from her current collection, to one [...]
Last week I attended a very successful women’s networking group in L.A. sponsored by Bag Lady Promotions. We have written about BLP on the blog before. Laura, the event coordinator and founder does a great job of bringing together some of the smartest and most connected women in L.A. While I was there, I mingled with a few new designers and had the chance to hear their stories…their successes and their challenges.
What I continue to hear over and over again is that making the time for sites like Twitter, Facebook, fashion blogs and social networks is nearly impossible when orders [...]

A new mommy-turned-designer has created yet another must-have baby item: The Gebbie Cloth. It’s a fashionable wrap-around burp cloth that will save a mom’s precious working wardrobe and keep baby clean.
Why didn’t I think of this?
Dr. Karen Blessey was a working mom and needed to preserve her expensive wardrobe, but she also suffered from the inconvenience of a standard burp cloth that fell off her shoulder often and onto a dirty floor. So she teamed up with landscape architect, Adrienne Thompson to produce The Gebbie Coth. This fashionable burp cloth wraps around a mom’s neck so she can avoid having [...]
